Training conservators and museum staff
We recently ran a 3 day training course for staff at Clifton Park Museum in Rotherham. Covering the basics of frame construction, the materials and processes of gilding and their degradation, we also looked at simple conservation techniques and conservation fitting of paintings. The museum conservators are now better equipped to care for this part of their collection.
